Before breaking ground on a new headquarters Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union turned to Office Environments to begin strategic planning for the move.
OE began by taking a part specific inventory of existing product, keeping record of fabrics, finishes and conditions. This inventory data was later used to determine how to maximize the reuse of existing product and integrate it with the new.
To prevent loss of productivity in Merck’s daily operations during the move OE coordinated a move schedule that began on a Friday and had all employees seated in the new facility on Monday morning.
This turn key approach gave Merck Sharp & Dohme a single source contact, while OE arranged every aspect of the furniture move Including:
- Coordination with Movers including equipment personal items, and box handling
- Installation
- Coordination with Data and Electrical trades
After a successful move and installation OE continues to manage service and maintenance, warranty fulfillment and other needs at the new facility.
